East Horsley Parish Council would like to extend a big thank you to everyone involved in organising last week’s prostate testing event.
The event was the 9th Free Community Prostate Cancer Testing event run by The Prostate Project this year and, with the support of East Horsley Parish Council, it became the charity’s second largest testing event after its biggest ever event held at Guildford Cathedral.
The Parish Council received a great deal of positive feedback from residents, many of whom commented on the value of having this important service available within the community.
In total, 85 men were tested during the session. Thanks to the generosity of those attending, an impressive £1,091.92 was raised in voluntary donations.
In addition, East Horsley Parish Council has made a separate donation of £1,000 to support the charity and its ongoing work.
The Parish Council would once again like to thank all those who helped organise and support the event, as well as everyone who attended.
